• Expedited Mode for UUPC is deactivated temporarily for adjustments.

Bug fixes:

• Counts for a new item size created under an existing brand do not upload along with the sync of the new size. After a new size has been synced, its subsequent counts are fine. Occurs only for certain devices, mostly iOS. Affected users please see if you still experience this issue with this version.

5.20 is a maintenance release primarily for updates of underlying third-party software libraries, including new requirements by Android and Apple app stores.

Changes:

• The brief delay (introduced in 5.11) between two consecutive barcode scans is further shortened.
• There is an Expedited Mode for UUPC for users who are comfortable enough and wish to opt in, found under Configuration > Database > Universal UPC. After the message "barcode not found - do you want to add..." , if a UUPC is matched, then a new item based on UUPC will be added and ready for counting - skipping the item creation screens. As the item creation screens are skipped, it is not possible to review and revise a new item at creation (density, full/empty weight, name, etc.). An alternative procedure at a later time would be a good idea to ensure new items based on UUPC are accurate. A one-liner might be: "count now, and check later".

Bug fixes:

Previously deleted batch / prep items are still available in the app.

Weight Safeguards: Additional heuristic to safeguard against weights being entered as full counts.

• An alert will be triggered if an item size has a defined volume > 15 liters (eg, kegs), and a full count > 10 is entered.
• A previous alert for full count > 400 remains in place.

Note 
The alert only aims to reduce errors. It remains the responsibility of an userto ensure a count or weight is correctly entered. 

Barcode Scan Delay: A brief delay < 1 sec is introduced between two consecutive barcode scans

• The delay aims to prevent unintentional duplicate scans of an item due to various reasons

Our biggest leap forward isn’t something you’ll see, it’s something you’ll feel. Version 5.00+ introduces Hot Patch, a brand-new feature that allows us to push select updates instantly, without waiting for Apple or Google’s approval cycles.

Why It Matters:

• Critical updates and fixes can now be deployed instantly.
• Less downtime, more agility.

How It Works:

• Hot Patches may be applied automatically, or on occasion, manually (when instructed).
• Manual patching is available via:

Configuration > Misc > App Patch Loader

Versioning Note:

Going forward, app versions will follow a new format: X.Xy

• X.X = Major version (App Store)
• y = Minor version (Hot Patch)

Example: App version 5.00 (from the App Store) + Hot Patch 5.01

Pro Tips:

• Always sync with a stable connection (move closer to WiFi or switch to cellular).
• After pressing the Sync button, wait at least 5 seconds before trying again.

Smarter Text Fields

When entering certain fields (e.g., new item creation), existing text will now be auto-selected for quick replacement – no more backspacing!

Renamed Option: “Smart Download” → “Full Item Database Download”

A clearer name for a powerful feature. “Smart Download” was a legacy term from an outdated process – the new name reflects its true purpose.

Bug Fixes

Inventory Reset Behavior

Reset now properly returns users to the first page/shelf, avoiding confusion in large inventories.

Display language now properly switches across all devices, including Samsung models.
